- What's your name?

I am Ava Diamond

- What's your business or occupation about?

I'm an LCSW and Mental Fitness Coach. Over the past 20+ years, I have developed my Clinical expertise in helping people to overcome life’s greatest challenges. Over the past 5+ years, I have engaged in my sport of Bodybuilding and earned Pro level accomplishment, placing top 5 or greater in every Pro show Nationally in which I have competed.  My program, Mental Fitness Coaching, is the blend of those two professional paths into one empowering mindset model for coaching my Clients all over the World on how to become their optimal selves professionally, physically, and in relationships.  Mental Fitness Coaching is used by top CEO’s and Stay-at-Home-Moms for the same reasons!  My program was just contracted by the US Military to work with 25,000 troops overseas next April, as well.  You can listen in to podcast interviews and read long posts on Facebook and Linkedin to learn more.

- What does your average work day look like?
The hardest part about my work is not really about my work itself, but about the fact that there are not enough hours in the day to do all that I want to do sometimes.

I have created my most authentic career life (which is something that my second book teaches people how to do).  I am my own “boss” and the Master of my day, consequently.  The “authentic” part is that I know myself well and have developed a pattern of working seven days a week AND playing (or self-care) seven days a week.  That is the balance that allows me to thrive with work, mind, body, and family.  My day is scheduled with clients and tasks with training, sleep, and personal needs in mind most often.  I am grateful to have created this for myself as this is my best productivity and life fulfillment method combined!

My Clients and my goals keep me motivated to develop further my program, mind, and body.  I teach Clients how to design their own Personal Mission Statement (PMS) and develop a “healthy marriage” with their Purpose (again, my first and second books help readers with doing the same).  I am so aligned with my own PMS and Purpose that each day I wake up with excitement about striving for my goals.  I absolutely practice what I preach and, therefore, my Clients are a source of motivation as I will always want to model how to manage stress and goals for them.

I recharge through what I call, “Exercising Gratitude”.  This is not about generating a gratitude list.  This is about experiencing and expressing gratitude in the moment, out loud, to others, and to self (allowing self to feel deeply where the gratitude resonates most).  It’s about NOTICING the wonderful parts of a moment in the moment and letting it fill me.

- What keeps you motivated?

- What's the best advice you've ever heard?

The best advice I have ever heard came from a Client who was struggling with his marriage.  He told me that he finds himself saying to himself, “Does this have to be said by Me and does it have to be said right now?” as a guide to reducing conflict.  I have shared that often over the past fifteen years.

- How do you recharge?

I recharge through what I call, “Exercising Gratitude”.  This is not about generating a gratitude list.  This is about experiencing and expressing gratitude in the moment, out loud, to others, and to self (allowing self to feel deeply where the gratitude resonates most).  It’s about NOTICING the wonderful parts of a moment in the moment and letting it fill me.

-  What's something you haven't said, but worth mentioning?

I have recently taken on a new learning path: book publishing.  In my course, I have honed in on the best second book that will be released on Kindle/Amazon in November, “BRAIN UNCHAINED: Interviews & Insights to Transform Your Career with Purpose, Passion, and Power”.  It means that my first book, however, is being RELAUNCHED with a new title soon.  Currently, it is on Kindle/Amazon as “Mental Fitness: Build Core Power for Life-lifting”.  It will have the same contents, but a different title down the road!  The third book comes out in January and is on Mastering Midlife from a mental and nutritional standpoint.

You can find me on the wrapper of a 100% true to label, HIGHEST quality nutrition bar in the USA:  Fitbar.  It is sold in some Whole Foods and online at www.ebars.com .  You can use Ava18 to save $$$!
